finally finished Whitman's 'Song of Myself' the incredibly long poem with which Whitman introduced himself to the world.  Definitely worth reading. I have also been reading Octavio Paz lately. I must say I really enjoy his writing. Very unique and mystical with his knowledge of ancient things the world over.
